Bought $35 worth of "cake mix" from here. Was awful... Cement like, salty, not sweet, and it broke my Kitchen Aid. Brought this to their attention on Facebook and then they said it was my fault. Never going here again. So disappointed. What horrible customer service. Here's the deal..I'm an amateur cake decorator. I started going to specialty shop in 2001 when I first started doing cakes and was still learning. Having done cakes for many years now, I can tell you that they are definitely behind the times in what they offer as far as current, state of the art cake decorating and candy making supplies. Their props are old and dirty, the place is in extreme disrepair. If you didn't know where they were, the sign is no help since the face of the sign has torn off or worn off. The style of cake decorating that they offer and supplies they sell are "old school" as in Wilton circa 1972 (no joking...check for yourself!). Clients now expect what they see on the cake decorating shows on TV. Not old style decorating. I can still get a cake box or cupcake box here and dragees and disco dust...Other than that...I use mail order. Really...If I had the money, I'd open a cake decorating supply shop..It's a shame Albuq. doesn't have more choice. ...read more
