Agave Del Sol

This place is awful to do business with! They were very unprofessional and never returned our phone calls. Caitlin, the events coordinator constantly blamed her lack of communication on computer and internet error. After confirming that our date was booked for us and ready to sign the paperwork on 11/1/11, they still gave our date to another couple and again blamed it on computer error but did nothing to correct the problem. We contacted the owner but she did nothing either. The place is beautiful but not worth the stress! ...read more

Agave Del Sol

I recently held an event at Aguave del Sol. I should have known after 3 calls were not returned and a friend had to call the owner to set an appointment that this was more than a red flag. While the building is beauriful and the food was good, the people are non-responive and extremely difficult to work with. I was flat out lied to about several things and will NEVER do business with them again. My event was a simple dinner, if you are planning a wedding or something extremely important to you DO NOT use this facility. If you have already put down a deposit, forget it and move to another venue. ...read more

A little history about Sadies. It used to be located in a bowling alley just south of their new restaurant. Back in 1977 they had the best tacos and enchiladas. The taco shells were individually fried.Everything was fresh.Sadies was excellent They were also located in another area prior to the bowling alley. This was genuine New Mexican food, not Mexican. Both are good, but different. I was born and raised in NM and my family goes back many generations. I have seen New Mexican restaurants come and go. Many were very good, but Albuquerque was not a very big city back then. The original owners of Sadies have since sold to someone else. And the food is not what it was in 1977. The salsa is good. A place you might try is Barela's on 2nd street about a block north of Cesar Chavez.. Needless to say Sadies has changed considerably. I won't go back. It is difficult to find genuine New Mexican food. ...read more
