My dental experience with Hoffer was good; he's funny, gentle, and skilled. However, I do not want to go back for my bridge. The secretary, MaryAnne (sp?) calls and repeats the amount I owe to the dentist, prior to the bridge. I can't pay the entire cost out of pocket and it's daunting, so the bridge is not done. After trying many local dentists and having terrible experiences, I had resigned myself to the fact that I would have to return to "the least of all evils" to complete a desperately needed crown and about 5 fillings, including some replacements. And then I checked my insurance coverage and found Dr. Hoffer. My first appointment was the best experience I've ever had with a dentist. Dr. Hoffer reviewed my most recent films and explained in detail what was needed to finish what my previous dentist had started (I went 6 months with a broken tooth, because I couldn’t bring myself to go back to my former dentist). That day, I scheduled my next appointment and before I knew it, my permanent crown was in place and with the exception of 2 fillings (being completed tomorrow), I once again had a smile I am proud of.
