This has been the worst rental experience ever imagined. When renting was told that we could check in at 9am. We arrived with milk and food that needed to be regrigerated only to find out that we could not get in until 1pm which quickly turned into 2:15! There was an $800 security deposit of which only $260 is being returned with no description of any damage, and when checking out the manager verbally said that we would be getting our entire deposit back. The security/manager was drinking and extremely inappropriate with the young girls staying in the house. First of all, this agency should be extremely ashamed of this staff member and their business practices. If you check out their Facebook page it's a scam because any negative feedback is blocked and deleted. I would not give this location 1 star let alone 5!! I agree with stay away. The one sister who works at the store is rude and vile. I purchased two items totalling $200.00. Within hours I returned to return the items as the gifts would have been duplicates. I explained to the sister that when I spoke to the other girl behind the counter regarding return policy she said 30 days. She neglected to say store credit only. The sister yelled at me for 10 minutes , irate as anything because I wanted a credit back to my charge card. She would not make an exception and I am not from this area so I can kiss my $200.00 goodbye. In business you have to be flexible and keep customers happy otherwise people will not come back. I would stay away from such a place. I was appalled as well as my daughter who stood there in disbelief at the words and expressions that were coming out of her mouth. While I usually go back North for my Mani n Pedi decided today to try a local place since I am here for the summer in Lavallette NJ.I searched and found J D 'S Place on Central Ave.Lavallette. Pleased that there was one so close I decided to give them a try.I was very pleased. I found JD'S Place a very friendly place and would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Be warned, they are the nastiest people to deal with. A boat yard in the middle of a nice island. Amenities are poor. This place could be a diamond if it were managed properly. We pulled our boat out of Chawick solely because of the management. We just could not deal with them anymore or continue to give them money for nothing in return accept a place to tie up the boat. As soon as we had a mechanical issue that needed some attention and help from the staff is when we saw their true colors. Our boat sat for the month of July an was told they would get to it when they get to it. This happened going on a year ago at this point and we are in a happy place now where people care. The owners that run the place are the absolute nastiest people. The head mechanic and owner Bill will damage your boat and summer. We pulled our boat from a nice setting on the barrier island of ocean county for much better accommodations elsewhere. The ammidies were always dirty and out dated. Go anywhere else.
