We live in Kingston and were looking for a good, trustworthy repair place for our cars. Had read a couple reviews online and my fiance had a couple friends who had used Pete's in the past and recommended them. so we brought our 2004 Santa Fe in as it needed a timing belt, sparkplugs/tune up (which on the 3.5l v-6 is a bear of a job), rear brakes and an all wheel alignment. Could not be more pleased with the repair work, the friendliness and courtesy of the folks there AND for the amount of work done we were VERY pleased with the final cost which was hundreds less than a dealer or chain auto repair place. When we said our 05 Elantra had just hit 120K miles and was due for it's next timing belt, my fiance was told for us to just bring it in and they'd check as the 1st belt was done in the past 2-1/2 years and she was told it may be the newer 90k mile belt and we may not need it changed yet. I broke down while driving by this place, and while they do not fix radiators, a gentleman stayed after closing, gave me a gallon of coolant and refused to take any money for it. These are good people with good hearts. ...read more

i purchased a truck from these crooks, told it had NO ISSUES less than 24 hrs of recieving truck check engine light comes on for 3 codes 1 being the timing. after over a week of trying to get ahold of the owner finally says they'll pick up the truck bc i refused to DRIVE IT myself with the timing bad. after over another week they drove it back to there shop from connecticut after highly recommending it be towed. a week later i get ahold of the mechanic who tells me the motor needs to be replaced, thus they back out the deal instead of fixing their mistake. i told Mike Squadrito the owner i no longer wished to purchase a vehicle after everything i already went through with this company. this was back in late may it is now early august and i still cannot get back my down payment and the owner is "never" available nor will he answer his cell phone or return any of my calls.these crooks STOLE my money and wont give it back.
