On May 28, 2013 my husband and I entered his establishment to inquiry on the purchase of a replacement cpap machine. We spoke entirely to Amy which at the time we explained that my husband worked out of state and this insurance was out of state. Amy took all our information and told us she would have to contact our insurance company to see if it could be done as a purchase since my husband has been a cpap user for 18 years. She told us she would check on everything. Amy told us that our insurance company required that we rent the machine for 6 months then all money paid would go to the purchase. Six months go by and we have paid out of pocket over $1200. I inquire as to when the purchase was going to go through only to be told that healthily at home has no purchase agreement with my insurance company and they can continue to bill a rental fee for now on. now he deductible has stared over and We all know what that means. I have tried to resolve this issue speaking with billing many times but am met with resistance. And we all want to know why healthcare costs are so high. Nth is is a prime example. Who in their right mind would want to rent a machine forever when all day long you can buy it for around $600. Off internet. Your employees misinformed my husband and I. We straight out asked her now this will be a purchase? Yes she said after 6 months. First of all if you call my insurance company and inquire that you want cpap machine you are first told they use their own company. Not healthy at home.
