Cardinal Gibbons High School

Very disappointed with just about everything this school could have offered. The principal is there for show only. The front office staff is extremely rude and counselors (at least my chil's) are useless, particualr when it comes to personal matters. A junior committed suiced last year and it has made no difference whatsoever in counseling students with issues. There is absolutely no disclipline or dress code enforced (no uniforms) as kids go to class wearing flip-flops. Make sure your child brings his/her own lunch because on at least 5 occassions there was not enough food for the last lunch period. Finally, sports tryouts are biased and pre-determined ( at least that was the case with baseball) when tryouts were rained out and a team was selected regardless with many kids not able to show their ability. Definitely not worth the $12K. The principal is a great showman though and do not expect him to respond to e-mails. ...read more

Worst school ever! Waste of time. They don't teach the kids they send stuff home for they parents to do their job. They are more worried about studying for the EOG's then actually teaching the main subjects. I think if they actually taught each subject then worry about what's on the EOG test their wouldn't be a problem with the kids passing the test. ...read more
