I went to this branch on my lunch break to close out my bank account, which I have had with BoA for 15 years. My account with them has been compromised by fraudulent charges several times and their customer service has been unhelpful, so I was ready to move on.\t\n\t\nI was told by the teller that he couldn't close my account for me, and that the person who could was on lunch break. When would she be back? He had no idea. They were apparently 'understaffed'. There was someone else on staff who could help me, but he was busy with a customer, and had another one waiting after that. (I did not actually see anyone in the waiting area, hmm).\t\n\t\nSuddenly, the person who could help me came back from lunch, and the teller then told me, "The person is back from lunch, but there are a couple of people waiting to see her before you can see her, so..." Basically, they did not want to help me. They wanted me gone.\t\n\t\nFinally I had to drive up the road 10 minutes to go to ANOTHER BoA branch and close my account. The lady at that branch said that what had happened at the first branch was 'unacceptable'. I completely agreed.\t\n\t\nBank of America, this is why everyone is leaving you for credit unions. They are horrible. Don't bank with them. "Invested in you" is a lie. They don't care about you...only your money. I've heard working for them is the worst, management are rich snobs. ...read more
