I absolutely love Coopers. I go there at least four times a week in the summer, on my way to and from work. It is the perfect hangout spot. I just wanted to share a few things that's going on with Baked from Scratch. I have enrolled in a business class at Craven Community College and it's going pretty well. I'm definitely learning things about the business of owning a business and would highly recommond it to others who share the same interest. I have baked cupcakes for various events in the community which I love contributing to worthy causes.One of the local radio stations is having the St. Jude's Radiothon Thursday and Friday and would like to do something to help. My daughter voluntarily agreed to participcate in the radiothon as well and she asked a few friends who are available to help out as well so they will be answering phones.I decided to make cupcakes for the volunteers for this event as it will take up an entire day, from 6a-6p. I'm thinking about making vanilla cupcakes filled with strawberry glaze with a vanilla buttercream frosting. I'm optimistic about the success of the event because St. Jude's is deserving of all the support the community can offer. What a great cause. I wish them well. ...read more

Hello everyone, Just wanted to show you what I have been up to. I want you to see these amazing looking dirt cupcakes made from chocolate cake and oreo cookies(minus the center).These are actually the jumbo sized cupcakes. I think these are the cutest things. I really think that children will get a kick out of eating "dirt" with "worms" and "lady bugs." I've actually given them to children and I must say, they seemed to really enjoy them. I intend to have an entire cupcake section dedicated for children events. I think that these dirt cupcakes will fit in pretty well with the rainbows and doll cupcakes. ...read more

Hello everyone, excited to share with you another cupcake creation. It's a cupcake doll! Don't you think it's CUTE? It's a chocolate and nutella cupcake and boy is it delicious. The frosting is whipped cream that I've colored pink. This would be ideal for a little girl's party, don't you think? Would love it if you let me know what you think.
