I have to be in M'ton 4-6 months of the year and rented an apt here. Many problems but for space reasons I'll relay the biggest one. While home in CA a friend went by to find door unlocked and everything in chaos: mattresses in living room, every spare surface covered, furniture in kitchen, bathtub filled with belongings. She called the police and while waiting a maintenance guy came by and said there had been a sewer backup. When had this happened? Months ago! They neither called me about this, nor told me when I kept calling in rent. Doug Hall, an attorney and the landlord, still has refused to tell me or my insurance company when it happened but acknowledged it was at least 3 months prior. I called in environmental - and had to have everything treated as toxic because Doug had laid new carpet but not professionally cleaned/sanitzied. There was evidence of sewage on the baseboard/wall/door bottom. So much more but out of space - I wouldn't rent here at any price! ...read more
