I started martial arts at the age of 7 and have seen alot of changes in the arts over my years of training.Respect and Discipline have changed so much since the new wave of MMA and cage fighting-I respect any art but I think when we try to change tradition especially something that worked for true warriors of the orient then I think we have missed the true meaning of the martial arts.I still believe in bowing to each other as a sign of respect , I believe in being loyal and respectful to my teachers Korean,Japanese,Chinese etc.,I believe in discipline that comes from hard work and dedication not let's see how many tournaments I can win or how fast I can choke you out.Not everyone in the arts have lost their traditional values some still hold fast.I applaud every instructor that holds on to traditional values and Thank You . ...read more
