We are extremely disappointed in the manner that Alamance Farmer's Mutual handled our hailroof claim, especialy after having had insurance with this company for over 36 years. AFM'sadjuster would not even go on our 2 story roof and when I asked why he replied that he didn'thave to. I requested a second adjuster and they sent Mr. Hogan of Fincastle Engineer. He toldus that we had extensive damage on the lower section of our roof and damage on the Southwest area. AMF refused to replace our roof and as they now claim that both adjusters hadcome up with the same opinion that we only had 30% hail damage and only 23% had light damage. NC Dept of Insurance's investigation accepted AFM's opinion without even checking any further. We realize that our house has been devalued with the hail damage and that more problems exist without replacing the entire roof. When the roofers gently brought down shingles there were pin point holes all the way through sections of our roof and other areas had larger indentions. We cannot recommend Alamance Farmer's Mutual as they seem to be only concerned with saving money for the company without regard to protecting policyholder's interest. We encourage anyone who has a policy with AFM to please check your policy and compare with other insurance companies.
