Before taking on "Jessa" as a client, for what she said would be an "uncontested divorce", she was told that based on her explanation of the situation she found herself in, that her husband was likely going to raise issues regarding her and her keeping custody of their children. She was told that if such occurred, that it would not be an "uncontested case" but rather she would have to pay the hourly rate for such additional work. She agreed to such in writing. When it turned out that there were significant issues, as she was told she should expect, she didn't want to pay the fees that she had agreed upon in writing for the substantial work necessary in order for her to keep her children. When she was unwilling to pay for the work that had already been done, she then decided to switch attorneys. As for her allegations regarding the BBB, there were no complaints.
