I have always been mentally ill. I have been in the mental health system since I was 5 years old. I live with Diagnoses with Paranoid Schizophrenia and hypo-mania bipolar, suffering from severe persistent mental illness that I will live with for the rest of my life. I have dealt with many inpatient and outpatient facilities in North Carolina over the course of my live. I feel the referral to Essential Supportive Services, was one of the best things that happened in my life. I do believe that ESS is the “GOLD STANDARD” for mental health care. As a Medicaid and Medicare recipient I am aware that I can go ANY WHERE ELSE for services, but I’d rather be a mental health patient of Essential Supportive Services, LLC. I have always been able to reach out and contact my case coordinators, counselors, psychiatrist and administration to receive the support and crisis stabilization. This group of professionals has the right attitude and always presented me with better choices. My attitude and life has changed. ...read more

I think it is very fair to give this group the credit deserved for carrying out its mission to help others get better in my community. There are bigger issues to figure out, like Why doesn't other psychiatrist and therapist accept Medicare and Medicaid in Johnston County? ...read more
