Rga Forde

My husband invested just over $130,000 of our IRA money with Godwin Fund Partners and RGA Forde LLC in a 2 year hedge fund investment. As of 12/31/13 the value of the fund was slightly over $3,000.00 resulting in a 98% loss. The explanation received in the cover letter was 'Godwin Fund Experiences a Foreign Market Version of 2008". In addition to this great financial loss we were never contacted by the any employees to discuss the financial statement we received. My advice is use great caution and do your research prior to investing through this firm. ...read more

I went to this company and had my 2009 income tax returns filed and they assured me that all they needed was my last paycheck stub. After they did my returns i took in my W-2 and they called me and said that because there was a slight difference in the amount on the W-2 from what was on the paystub I would have to pay an additional $100 to have to file an ammendment in addition to what I had already paid to have the returns done initially. I called and spoke with a lady there and asked why would I need to pay them additional and the lady said because the difference wasn't that much between my W-2 and last paystub It would be fine and the ammendment wasn't necessary and that was that. Well in thye mail this week i received a bill from the IRS indicating that I owe them $207 because of the descrepency on my 2009 tax returnso i called and left a message letting them know what had taken place and a Ms Trusdale called and left me a message stating that this was explained to me! Dear Mr. Stamas\t\n \t\nI just wanted to say thanks for being so detailed on what my options are regarding my financial situation. Not being as well versed as I would like when it comes to the market, you spoke on my level, without making me feel stupid. Meeting with you and your team to discuss the most advantageous ways to better secure my financial future was a blessing. \t\n \t\nGoing forward, I feel much more confident because of your experience and knowledge. As you know in today's market, we, as the general public are very weary and unsure of who to trust and where to invest. You made it easy. \t\n\t\nConstantina Nylandopoulos ...read more

What Are Your Social Insurance Programs???

Have you heard this term yet? ….. “SOCIAL INSURANCE PROGRAMS” ….. Those who use this term are referring to Social Security, Medicare or perhaps Medicaid. Today, I want to focus on Social Security. Maximizing Social Security benefits through appropriate claiming strategies is an important step in improving your retirement success. Another, complicated step is to minimize your taxes….by locating assets in the proper type of accounts and tapping those assets in the optimum order. The combination ofhigher Social Security benefitsandlower marginal tax ratesresults inmore spendable retirement incomein the long run and can extend the life of your portfolio, reducing the chance of running out of money. With that said …… I ask you these questions: 1)     Do you think taxes will be higher in the future? (Yes  or  No) …….. 2)    If Yes ….. Do you want to pay them?  (Yes  or  No) …….. 3)    If No ….. What are you doing any different this year than you’ve done in the past to help accomplish this? And Finally …….. If you were a farmer: Would you rather pay taxes on your seed, you are about to plant: …..OR ….. Would you rather pay taxes on the crop you will reap in the future? The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Fair Credit Reporting Act (Summary) Public Law 91-508 The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) allows a consumer to challenge the information on his credit report on the basis of "completeness and accuracy." If, after a reinvestigation by the credit bureau, the disputed information "is found to be inaccurate or can no longer be verified, the [credit bureau] shall promptly delete such information." The credit bureaus are required to complete the investigation within a "reasonable period of time." This period has been set at thirty days. The credit bureaus can ignore the consumer dispute if they have reason to believe that the dispute is "frivolous or irrelevant." The FTC commentary on the FCRA cites, as an example of a frivolous dispute, a dispute wherein the consumer challenges all negative items on his credit report without providing any allegations regarding specific items in the credit file. However, "A [credit bureau] must assume a consumer's dispute is bona fide, unless there is clear and convincing evidence to the contrary." When a consumer challenges a negative credit listing on the basis of extenuating circumstances, such as health problems, divorce, job loss, etc., the credit bureaus are entitled to ignore that dispute. When a consumer submits a dispute which is neither frivolous nor irrelevant by credit bureau standards, the credit bureau must "at a minimum... check with the original sources or other reliable sources of the disputed information and inform them of the nature of the consumer's dispute." In some cases of consumer dispute, "Reinvestigation and verification may require more than asking the original source of the disputed information the same question and receiving the same answer." In other words, when a consumer files or re-files a valid dispute, the credit bureaus must contact the source of the credit information (the creditor) and confirm that the information is accurate, verifiable, and not obsolete. In some circumstances, the credit bureau is required to go beyond a simple verification of the creditor's own computer record. If, within 30 days, the credit bureau has not received verification from the creditor, then the credit bureau must promptly delete the credit listing. In theory and law, the process is deceptively simple, thus leading many people to think that they can easily handle this themselves "for the price of a few postage stamps." Most quickly discover that the credit bureaus have made it much more difficult than one would imagine. For help in this, we recommend using Lexington Law a professional credit report repair company.   Raleigh NC     Charlotte NC     Wilmington NC     Debt Manaement Plan NC     Greensboro NC     High Point NC     Bankruptcy Services NC     Credit Repair North carolina     Durham NC     Bankruptcy Certificate NC     North Carolina Attorney     CCCS NC     Cary NC     Fayetteville NC     Winston Salem NC   ...read more
