PLEASE for the sake of your health and your sanity, do NOT move in to this apartment complex. First off, when we moved into an apartment on the circle part of the complex, it was not that bad. When we moved into the apartment on the Bargate street, it was AWFUL. The first time it rained after we moved in, we discovered a leak was in the ceiling in our living room. It ruined our tv. It damaged a laptop, and we had several boxes sitting in the living room with our stuff in it that got soaked. We had to live with a tarp over our living room floor for about 2 months that we bought ourselves. We finally were able to convince them that WE were not the ones throwing water around in our living room when we video taped it happening. They took off $200 off our next rent.... that was it. When I saw online that my rent was different than normal, I called the apartment complex and asked why. They told me they would find out and call me back. They never called me back. After that, we had water leaks in our bathrooms and hallway from the above apartment. It would literally be raining in our house. Mold was obviously spreading throughout the house. They came in and painted over the mold and told us they fixed the leak from the above apartment and that the mold wouldn't grow back. Neither was true. Over the next two horrible years, we lived with useless managers who were over the complex that could never even return a call. We had termites in the building. No matter how clean we kept the place, roaches and spiders and mold ran throughout the whole apartment. It was awful living conditions even though I would clean every day. It was such an unsafe neighborhood. Police officers have come there often and asked about our neighbors. The parking is unbearable. You get one parking spot and the other parking spot is on the side of the street. You only get your apartment's parking spot though when someone doesn't steal it. I had to finally write to the people that own the Briarcliff apartments to get people to fix our leaks and problems. There are no outlets in the bathrooms. The fire alarm goes off if you just put something in the oven or toaster. The electricity goes out on that whole street when there is just a light storm. One time when the power went out, so many bugs were coming out that my husband and I went and stayed in a hotel for the night!! I sprayed so much Raid!! Do not count on the maintenance men. I called the emergency number one time when water was pouring from the ceiling, and they never even called me back or came! They came the next day and did not even leave a note.... but they never even did that the other times. When you put a work order in, they will "fix" it and send you an email that says, customer approved, work completed, work order closed. I always wanted to know how I could approve something I never was asked about. We were paying $822 a month. PLEASE I am warning you for your own good! DO NOT GO THERE!! ...read more

Apartment is infested with roaches! Office staff is incredibly rude, cantankerous, and uncaring. They display a total lack of concern for any issue you bring to their attention. Maintenance is slow and performs substandard quality work when they do show up. Apartment complex is incredibly old and dilapidated. The Cary Police have visited the apartment complex on an almost weekly basis it seems. Office staff is never courteous enough to disclose to the residents who live here the nature of the police visits. Make every possible sacrifice to live elsewhere. ...read more

CARY ON! 5 WAYS TREE-LINED CARY CAN MAKE YOU HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER

Over the decades, Cary has blossomed into a nice bedroom community for professionals working in the Research Triangle area. Hundreds and thousands of young professionals move into this city every year to take advantage of its proximity to their workplaces, its self-contained commerce and slow-paced sub-urban charm. There is one more vital reason to relocate to Cary – it allows you to live amidst lush greenery. Believe it or not, you can enjoy many surprising health benefits by living near trees.  It does not matter whether you live in a miniscule studio or a spacious three bedroom apartment in Cary, NC, you will always be close to nature, thanks to its innumerable parks, public arboretum, scenic trails and undulating terrains. Here are five surprising ways living near trees can have therapeutic effect on your body and soul: Breathe Better Living near trees let you breathe better and it needs no testimony from the scientists – we all have experienced the difference in some point of our lives. A few rounds of early-morning walk at your local park, a stroll along a desolate sea beach or a long drive in the countryside tend to fill us up with renewed vigor, don’t they? As you breathe in fresh air, more oxygen is transported to your lung cells, which in turn helps cleanse these vital organs. The US department of Agriculture’s Forest Services has conducted a lot of researches on the correlation between living near trees and good health. The agency found that planting of new trees across the country helped reduce air pollution by 17.4 million tonnes in just one year. Although trees were planted mainly in the rural areas, the health benefits were felt all across the nation. Air pollution-induced death was reduced by 850 and the cases of severe respiratory diseases were reduced by 670,000. Heal Faster Believe it or not – a mere view of a tree can speed up recovery from any illness or injury. A study was once conducted on some patients at a Pennsylvania hospital who were recovering from gall bladder operations. The study revealed that patients staying in rooms with a view of trees recovered faster than those who were staying in rooms facing brick walls. For the citizens of Cary, the soothing effect of greenery is the best medicine for all their ailments. Feel Better A team of researchers at the University of Wisconsin once tried to find out whether living near trees have any significant mental health benefits and what they found was really amazing. The research data showed that a poorer person living in a tree-covered area was happier than well-to-do residents of upscale, yet treeless pockets of a city. This means when you come to live in a tree-lined Cary, you will be a happier person, less bogged down by the mundane worries.   Sleep Deeper Living near trees promote better sleep, a research study conducted under Professor Diana Grigsby-Toussaint from the University of Illinois has showed. Conducted over 250,000 Americans, the research study found that those who lived near trees were sleeping better. The result was more noticeable among people above 65 years of age. Grow Slimmer A Canadian research team found that in greener neighborhoods, people tend to be less obese and are less likely to develop diabetes, which naturally increase their lifespan. It is easy to figure out the connection – beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods encourage people to come out and stay outdoors longer. Just 10 extra trees in a block can make a big difference in this regard, the research team pointed out.   Health is wealth. You can ensure good health for you and your family by simply choosing to live near trees. It does not matterif you can afford only a small unit or a spacious three bedroom apartment, in Cary, NC, you will always be near to trees. So move to Cary and discover a happier and healthier you. ...read more
