We work all over the country so we have seen our share of good and bad and did not know what to expect in Montana. From the first call we had a very positive experience. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and she worked to squeeze us into their schedule. The operator was on time, friendly, efficient and had real skill. These guys bid on the job for remodeling part of our house. The more regular guys there were pretty nice but we were talked down to quite a bit by the electrician they hired. They worked off of the 'blueprint' that the owner/contractor did when assessing the job, basically a rough estimate, that turned out to be off by quite a bit in measurements anyway, and then when we pointed this out and specified what we wanted based on the actual measurements, they decided to charge us extra. We did ask for a few changes that were not talked about originally and expected to pay extra but definitely ended up paying much more than we should have. The contractor/owner went on about 3-4 vacations during the two month time they were working on our place, which did not impress us at all since I thought they were there to oversee the job and ensure it was going right and you can't really do that if you're gone. I had to specify on a lot of things that seemed like 'no-brainers' such as door placement, cabinet size, sink type, etc., that they would have otherwise done differently and would have made the remodel look ridiculous and impractical. The electrician was a jerk, complaining about our requests regarding placement of lighting fixtures and heaters, and the flooring guy did a very poor job, considering there are lumps everywhere and visible gaps between the floor and floorboards now. I suppose I am happy that the remodeling was done because it opened up the space and made it more useable however I'd rather not deal with these guys again. ...read more
