On 11/26/13 I paid this company $150 cash to fix my washer. The technician/owner claimed the problem with my front loading washer was an issue with the motor. He spent over 2 hours pulling the appliance apart and claimed to have fixed the washer. After he left and I went to run the washer and it was still not operable. He fixed nothing. I called him immediately he said he would be out the next day if he had the part. I didn't hear from him for a few days and when I called he said the part would be in the next day. This happened several times and he stopped taking calls from my number. When I would call from a number he didn't recognize he would answer and insist the part would be here "the next day". Mistake #1- Buying Appliances at Best Buy. When we built our house, we bought all the appliances from Best Buy. The appliance KID didn't know squat. I should have known right there it was a mistake. 5 years later, our LG dishwasher wouldn't pump water out and showed an error. Grrr! Mistake #2- Not going to Slyman because I thought they were too expensive. I don't know why I had this impression! When I think Slyman I think of Doctors and Lawyers and Million Dollar homes! I have no clue where I got this idea, but it is DEAD WRONG! Slyman does carry the ultra-high end appliances for those who can afford it. However, Slyman also carries mid-range appliances and sells them for a lower price than anywhere else! I got a high-end Samsung dishwasher for the same price as a low end LG from Best Buy. We have to look for the lights to see if its running in an empty house. It's that quiet! And best of all...my wife is super happy with the dishwasher! ...read more
