Andre's Banquet Facilities

2.0

By Mupset

Andre's STEALS!! We booked our daughter's reception but had to cancel a few months later as she called off her wedding. We requested a refund (and it was still 6 months before the reception date) and were told we had to write an explanation letter to the "Executive Committee" to request the refund - they replied stating unless they could re-book the space on that date with the same minimum # of guests, there would be no refund. I went to the bldg myself that nite & found both rooms in use with 2 very large receptions!(no way to know how many people for sure). A 2nd letter arrived stating there had not been enough guests, so NO refund.(of course, they didn't bother confirming how many people were really there, they didn't need to - they already had our money!). As far as I'm concerned, John Armengol is a thief - he had no real reason to keep our money - our cancellation cost him NOTHING - it just gave him an excuse to keep our money because we were stupid enough to sign his agreement. To keep a hard-working family's money like this under false pretenses is nothing short of theft - I can only imagine how many times Andre's has stolen from other families over the years, especially under such stressful conditions for the engaged couple. SO BEWARE - DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH ANDRE'S or JOHN ARMENGOL - they are THIEVES!! ...read more

Wedding Planning - Stay Organized

With These Wedding Planning Tips Excel Spreadsheet If you have Microsoft Excel or some other spreadsheet computer program, then this is the way to plan.  Also, WEDDING WEBSITES have great planning tools as well. Index Cards Use 3x5 or 4x6 index cards to keep track of your guests. Keep them in an index box for easy access. You can file them alphabetically by the guest's last name. Each card can include: Guest Name(s)   Mailing Address   Phone Number   RSVP - Yes or No   How Many Are Coming?   What Gift(s) They Gave   Date Thank You Note Was Sent   The box will become a treasure. You have an up-to- date address book and you can use it to keep track of birthday cards and such. Notebook Get a notebook and write everything down that has to do with your wedding plans. Phone numbers, decorating tips you've heard, wedding vendor information. Keep this notebook with you always! Whenever you get a brainstorm or question to ask a vendor, someone to add to the guest list: write it down. Accordion Folder (My Personal Favorite) Purchase an accordion folder with sections or notebook with file pockets. Label the sections (flowers, church, good ideas, bridesmaids, etc.). Then, whenever you see an article or a picture of a bouquet that you love, tear it out and insert it into whichever section it belongs. Calendar Keep a wedding calendar. Include all of your appointments with vendors and deadlines required by your vendors (i.e. payments due, menu selections, ordering deadlines, etc.). Be sure to include your self- imposed deadlines as well, such as when to have invitations ready to mail. ...read more
