Email marketing can produce some pretty amazing results. In some cases, non-targeted lists can produce 5% conversions; which, when sending hundreds or thousands of emails, results in some hefty commissions. The single biggest frustration for me with email marketing has not been the quality or quantity of lists nor the capture of the leads, but the ridiculous limitations and fees associated with these services. The limitations that frustrate me the most are, a cap on how many leads you can import into the database in a day and a limit on the number of emails that you can send out in a given time period. Some of the costs of these services are completely out of control. In order to have 10,000 leads in your database, most companies will charge, at least, $100 per month and some of them are a lot more expensive than that. There are some proven methods to weed out the bad leads in your database and cut the number down to what you can afford, and if you really have a database with 10,000 quality leads, then it should be generating plenty of money to cover any subscription fees. The only service that I have found so far that does not impose any of these limitations or outrageous fees is the Lead Capture System (LCS) offered through My Lead Company. My Lead Company is an innovative system of selling lead lists, and if you haven’t taken a look at the 19 ways to make money that they have on the site, it is worth taking a look at. LCS is NOT going to give you a pretty interface for creating executing your email campaigns, but if you are reading this, then chances are you are not the type of person to need any of that. What WE need is a system that works extremely well and doesn’t get us banned from our mail servers. On this, LCS delivers. Where it doesn’t deliver is on speed of service and reliability. I used this service for a while and had issues with my mailing crashing 40 emails into 1,000 and also with the speed at which the emails were going out, 3 emails every five minutes. After this experience, I only use My Lead Company for the leads, and do not use LCS any longer. I tried several more services including MailChimp, GetReponse, and MadMimi. I guy that works for LeadByte told me about an affiliate friendly email service, YourMailingListProvider (YMLP). The cost is higher than some services, but there aren’t any limitations and the speed of service and reliability is amazing. Making money from home, or anywhere you want to be really, shouldn’t be a drag. Working for someone else, in their office, wearing the clothes that they tell you to where isn’t that fun, unless you are one of the rare few that has a job that is so outstanding that you don’t really mind all of the stuff that goes along with it. If you are reading this, then you probably do not fit into that group. Instead, you are in the minority group of people that not only despises going into your 9 to 5 job, but you are willing to do something about it. The honest online marketers and affiliate programs will tell you that only about 10% of online marketers, full-time and part-time, make more than $500/month. The Empower Network is one of those online marketers, in fact, they go the extra distance and provide full disclosure of all of the earning statistics for active and inactive marketers. Only about 1% make more than $30,000/month, but let’s face it, someone in the middle of the remaining 9% shouldn’t be complaining. If you look further at the full disclosure provided by these ethical companies you will see a clear correlation between the amount of time spent working per week and the amount that they earn. Most of the 90% that do not make more than $500/month spend less than 5 hours per week on their online business, while most of the top 10% spends more than 20 hours per week on their business. Is it possible to spend 5 hours per week working and make $20,000/month or spend 40 hours per week and make $100/month? Yes, but neither scenario is likely. What separates the successful from the unsuccessful? In my opinion, the difference is primarily a difference in knowledge and a mix of formal and informal training that can only be gained from others that know what they are doing or the good old school of hard knocks. Does intelligence play a part? Sure. Does charisma help? Of course. These things are secondary at best though and won’t do any good without knowledge and a little self discipline. How does one go about acquiring this knowledge? You can waste a lot of money trying different systems and approaches until you find one that works, or you can take a disciplined approach towards one or two proven systems that cost zero to very little money to learn the system itself and have very small expenses associated with them. As a warning, a lot of systems say they are free or a small fixed fee and when you get into them, you realize that you won’t be able to really make anything without spending a bunch up front or without spending a large amount every month. These two systems will help you gain the knowledge that you need at very little cost, other than your time. The first system is Instant Payday Network. The system itself costs absolutely nothing, there is quite a bit of knowledge to gain, and if you follow their steps, you can earn quite a bit of money every month. Once you start working through the steps, you will realize that you will have some minor non-recurring expenses. I am pretty sure I spent about $8 to get started, but I spent absolutely nothing on the system itself. The second system is Empower Network. It cost me $25 to get started and is $25/month. The knowledge and tools that you receive could easily cost you $1,000 or more somewhere else, so it was well worth it to me. That amount includes a lot of resources and quite a few tools and I am still learning from these guys. Making money from home shouldn’t be a drag.
