went in there on Saturday. They have a black guy cutting hair there now. His name is Jordan and honestly I think he is the best barber they ever had there. He already knew what kind of cut I wanted without even knowing me. He uses a razor to finish and is very delicate when it comes to detail and finish. I recommend everyone to go see Jordan. ...read more

Spalon Montage

I had makeup done for an event at the Woodbury location. Cost $100 and I looked like a tarantula when done. The "artist" told me she couldn't fix it without redoing entire face. So, spent 15 minutes of time and $100 to look worse than if i had done it myself. Then, was convince to buy a product that was out of stock & they'd mail it to me. Sent me the wrong product. Spent an hour with customer service simply asking for my money back. No luck. Will dispute charge on credit card & never go back. Yuck. ...read more

Sunrise II & Tanning

5.0

By Mark Danielson at Citysearch

The tanning salon and hair salon are very clean. The front desk staff are very nice, as well as helpfull. I found that the results from the tanning salon are excellent. The price is fair and the rooms are clean. Myself and family have their hair done there and have for years, the results are also excellent. \t\n Regardless, of what anyone says, the salon has never been closed in it's 25 year existence. The fact is that some of their competitors have closed. My guess is that they know how to run a tanning and hair salon and keep not only their customers happy , but also the customers of their competitors. ...read more

Grandview Barber Shop

5.0

By ylimey at Citysearch

I chose the Grandview Barber shop because it was rated 5-stars in 9 of 10 reviews (Somehow, I don't find those 9 reviews today?!). Grandview Barber is the best barber shop I've ever visited. The experienced and friendly barber reminded me of one in Norman Rockwell's painting. The shop is simple and down to earth so you won't be charged for the high overhead costs, which makes fine haircut affordable. Craig paid much attention to details so I received a very neat and decent haircut! ...read more

When you call for an appointment and the line happens to be busy, a recording comes on telling you to put in an extension or wait for a representative. I was left on the line two days in a row but I don't know if they were opened or not as it was early evening. They give wonderful hair care and I would go back, but I just wish that they would put their hours info on the ans machine. ...read more

He's the best value barber in town. I have gone to Phil Broz for over 10 years and I've introduced my dad and brother-in-law to him as well. All of us agree that we get a terrific haircut and enjoy our conversations with Phil. The shop is small and "humble", but don't let that fool you. Phil's a real professional. -- Jim Sullivan ...read more

Eyebrow Threading vs Waxing

Many people ask me what is eyebrow threading and the difference between waxing and threading. Eyebrow threading is a technique used to remove unwanted facial hair from eyebrows and up lip area. By twisting the thread, I can remove unwanted hair just like plucking. Unlike waxing, threading uses no chemicals that can cause rash reaction. It is safe for everyone. Wax can sometimes be a little warm and can create burns on clients. Waxing is much faster than threading. Cost at Trade Secret in Rosedale Mall Wax: $15 Threading: $15 ...read more
