Master Radiator

1.0

By Szack2017

My cars over heating, my overflow tank is full, i didnt think to check the antifreez in the radiator. Soo i take my car to master radiator, scottie says its a blown head gasket, ill check it for 32.50. Itl take 20 minuts. I drive by 5 mins later and my car is parked up front soi call. He says yhup blown head gasket. I go pick my car up not convienced my head gasket was blown i took it to my personal mevhanic, he checks the actually radiator, and it was bone dry! We added 1.5 gallons og water and my car stoped over heating! So im left with two questions. 1) how did he check an empty radiator for a blown head gasket? 2) what master mechanic would not inform a customer their radiator was empty? These 2 questions have me convinced that this mechanic is a ripoff trying to take advantage of ppl. Do yourself a favor and avoid this scandal at all costs!! Will never evet come here agin (im assuming he thought he was makeing a quick buck off me) ...read more

Muffler Man

Came in and told them I have a exhaust leek. They put the vehicle up on the hoist and I watched the mechanic twist the muffler and then proceed to tell me it needs to be replaced. 275.00 dollars the job is finished. Get in the vehicle and the exhaust leek is still obvious - not wanting to point this out to the mechanic I leave . Go to another shop and the put the vehicle up on the hoist and find the leek... That's what I call a great customer oriented shop. Never trust the muffler man- they don't listen to the customer and just want to rip you off. I did ask about an estimate and was just told how much it would cost - I also asked before leaving if they solved the leek and was assured they did. Funny how the mechanic driving the vehicle off the hoist couldn't hear it. Never will they see any of my vehicles. ...read more

5 Ways to Cut Manufacturing Costs For Your Custom Machined Parts

When you outsource your custom parts to be manufactured, you’ll typically fall into one of two categories - those that ultimately save money on equipment, parts, and labor and get a better return on their investment or those that end up spending more than they should be, capping their profit. If you find yourself in the latter category and wanting to cut costs while still maintaining the integrity of your parts, these five manufacturing cost cutting techniques are for you. Reduce Small Features Adding small divots, cuts and holes are very difficult to mill, adding costs for time and labor. Eliminate any unnecessary elements to your parts in order to reduce the milling time that’s required and reduce your overall manufacturing costs. Change Your Materials Simply changing the material that you use to create your custom manufactured part can save you tremendously in the long run. For example, instead of using stainless steel, switch out your machining material with a durable plastic material. Utilize Blanket Purchases By agreeing to a blanket purchase (pre-arranged order of manufacturing and delivery on multiple dates over a period of time), most contract manufacturing companies will offer their services at a lower price and they'll make sure that you’re a top priority when it comes time to manufacture your parts. Limit Unneeded Depth & Holes The more holes and the deeper those holes have to be drilled, the more time and money the parts require. Try limiting to only what you need to create the best and most cost-efficient part. Outsource the Job If you’re still manufacturing your parts internally, that may be consuming more of your time, energy and resources than it should be. From owning and servicing the manufacturing machines, to hiring certified machinists to operate the machines, the costs associated with running parts in-house may be more than you bargained for. When you outsource your parts to aqualified manufacturing company, you can save money on manufacturing the parts all together and be able to focus more on other areas of your business. ...read more
