8:20 am on June 4, 2007: Metro Parkway and VanDyke in Detroit Metro area. Driver was in a left turn only lane in morning rush hour traffic. I was beside the truck and saw the side marker turning lights come on as the truck started to come into my lane. I honked my horn, the truck paused for half a second, came over anyway. I had to pile on the brakes hard to avoid being hit, I couldn’t move over. The truck driver cut off another driver and swerved to the far right lane. This is a place where the next turn is a full one mile ahead, so it's not like there was some emergency move required here. I passed him and honked my dissatisfaction, he blew his horn and flipped me off. I then slowed down to get his "how am I driving?" number. The guy actually stopped, on the road, in a 50 mph zone, in the middle of heavy rush hour traffic, to try to keep me from seeing his truck ID and company. I got it anyway and called in the complaint.
