I fell behind on car payments and my car was taken by them I live in Cedar Lake, IN under a central time zone and was told my vehicle was in Michigan City IN, also in the central time zone. After I settled everything with my lien holder I drove to Michigan City knowing I had until 4:30. What I was not told was the person I was calling operated on eastern time zone. I spoke with a representative at 3:00 pm (central) on Friday to see if any word had come through on the release. I was told no and I would be contacted as soon as it did. I informed the employee that I was not from the area and drove over an hour and was sitting in a Speedway gas station parking lot downtown Michigan City and asked if I was at least close to them so I could get there ASAP(they wouldn't give me an address until car was released, just town). She said yes you are two blocks away from us. She then said I will call as soon as it comes through. .***CONTINUED** ...read more

***PART 2*** At 3:17 pm (central) my lien holder called me to inform me everything had gone through and the release was done. I didn't want to rush the employee since she ensured me she would call so I gave her 15 minutes thinking I had until 4:30. At 3:35 pm (central) I called since I had no word and was informed nobody was there, everybody left and I was out of luck. I then stated that was not possible you close at 4:30, she then said yes but we are in Eastern. I informed her I was never told that even though everything I was dealing with was central, and she said "two blocks from US" that where I was calling was in Eastern in a different state. She then became very rude and hung up on me. I took all the appropriate steps to retrieve my vehicle and feel I was misled and scammed so they get more days of storage fees over the weekend. **CONTINUED** ...read more
