Best Built Chimney and Roofing Company was contracted to do work on my duplex in Detroit. Chimney liner (Results Good). Tuck-Pointing (Very Poor - like he's never done Tuck Pointing Before); He didn't color match the mortar to the color between the brick, instead he had it colored a RED color looking totally out of place, also other tuck pointing mortar is grey. The original mortar was kind of a sandy/grey color.. They missed a number of places that needed tuck-pointing. They replaced the cement steps and the side brick stantions coming out from the porch (Just OK) but did not bring the brick out to the end of the steps as it was before. The caps of the side portions of the porch were not put back together as they were before, but overall functional. They also painted the upper unit Alimnum Siding, BUT, the overspray from the white paint went on parts of roof and brick and cement. He won't answer my phone calls, voice mail, email, or text messages to come back and clean up the White Paint Overspray on my Brick, on my Security Back Door of Lower Unit; on the Electrical Meter; On the Cement back of the house where the Aluminum siding comes down to the ground. He's been paid for the whole job and stated that he'd have all this work done by the time I got back from DENVER, but it wasn't done and he refuses to compete the tuck-pointing and clean up damage (Paint Overspray) to the roof, red brick, and cement driveway. He also claims verbally and on his Chimney Service Order that he is BBB Accredited. I've contacted the BBB and he is not an Accredited BBB Business., which is false adertising. I've got pictures of the White Paint overspray on my roof, brick, cement driveway, back security door, and Electric Meter.. ...read more

Dennis Cole suppose to be the owner of this company. Dennis is a liar, and a thief. Best Built Chimney and Roofing nor Dennis is license and is not registered with the Better Business Bureau. Do not give him any money. Dennis did not show up for the job multiple times. Had no crew, no tools and stole $1000.00. from me. Beware he is a beggar. I filed a complaint with the city, state, Home Advisors (where he found me), and BBB. I'm presently starting a law suite. He is not the contractor he claim to be. BE WARE! ...read more
