About Comstock Park, MI
The Kent County, MI community of Comstock Park was established in the 19th Century. It was originally named North Park by Daniel North who built a sawmill in the area in 1838. Ten years later, the town was renamed Mill Creek, and in 1906, renamed Comstock Park after Congressman Charles. C. Comstock who represented the town from 1885-1886. According to the 2000 Census, Comstock had a population of 10,674. Comstock Park is a northwestern suburb of Grand Rapids, MI and home of the West Michigan Whitecaps, a minor league baseball team.
