I am from another state and ran out of my prescription the day after I arrived. I looked online to find a pharmacy nearest where I was staying and found Shady Grove Pharmacy. My doctor in South Dakota called SGP and when I arrived the pharmacist greeted me with a great smile and sense of humor. She knew what I needed and had it ready for me quickly. Should I end up settling in MD I will definitely use Shady Grove Pharmacy as my primary source for my scripts. The website advertises that they "Take the time to answer all your questions about prescription drugs and make sure you do not feel rushed? We do" The pharmacist told me she personally compounds medications. I took her at her word and recommended her to others. Unfortunately for me, it soon became clear that she would not return my calls after leaving repeated messages about worrisome side-effects for her with her staff, email and website (contact us) options. Questions about refills went unanswered. A neglectful pattern for a pharmacy advertising customized compounding on their website and in other places such as facebook. There were excuses about how the pharmacist was too busy each time I sought advice, and I was told she was out of the pharmacy a lot. Even when her staff let me know she was right there, she neglected to return calls or emails. I was left to figure out the Rx contra-indications alone and finally had to take my business to a more responsive independent pharmacy. ...read more
