Ellis (aka Donnell) is very unprofessional! The quality of his work may be pleasing but his attitude and demeanor fall way short. He's loud, rude and very unprofessional in his dealings with his work crew. My husband is one of at least two people who he has not paid from a big job site they worked on in Oct of 2012. After pursuing a small claims case, we are learning that Mr. Barnwell is a difficult to locate. His business lists a Maryland address, his tag on his vehicle is registered in another state and his physical residence is in a THIRD state. Where do I begin on the long and painful saga with Allied Remodelers? A simple master bathroom redo was all that we asked (and PAID for). Tile floor has been redone 3 times and still isn't correct. The leak that started the whole redo is still there. I just paid a plumber over $200 to fix their mess. Nothing will be right with your job if you use them. And forget calling them - they never come. I was disappointed w/4 season room added to my home by Allied Remodelers. The rm was not insullated, no heat comes through 2 floor vents. I now have to pay a company $4,200 to blow in insullation & redo the duct work in order to get heat into room. There's no insullation around the ducts on 2 of the floor vents. One side of the addition was not closed in on the outside with opening of 12' long and 5" from ground. 1st big rain, water came in everywhere. Bathrm tub faucets installed on wrong side of tub with no access to the pipes. Wall & tile will have to be removed to get to the lines. Showerhead won't move. Hardwood flrs have 1/2" gaps, air comes in around windows & interior closet doors were unevenly installed. Doors come off track each time they are open. Allied ruined my white carpet in bedroom with drippings of paint & varnish & broke items. After many calls & long periods of waiting, Allied came back but only fixed 1 problem, leak.
