Lindy Nails

I paid $25.00 for a gel manicure 3 weeks ago. I come in today (October 5th, 2016) and I'm charge $30.00. On top of being charged $5.00 more, the man doing my nails took an hour and 30 minutes to do my nails. I would not have mind paying an additional $5.00, but his painting skills were SLOPPY and he took an hour longer than the expected gel manicure on regular nails. ...read more

WORST NAIL SALON EVER ! Just had a horrifying experience, got a full set two weeks ago the man did such a bad job to the point my real nails were SHATTERED after I went back to take my nails off! I actually went back to take my real nails off with LINDY who did an even worse job by making my nails bleed out. My nails looks terrible and infected! And she had the audacity to ask me to pay !!! I'm reporting them to the health inspector! ...read more

Worst nail salon to ever go to. The workers do not know what they are doing and know very little about nail care. They rush through everything and they are very lazy. The acrylic powder they use is beyond weak and they do not apply enough. The gel polish is old and looks very dirty after 3 days and it chips!!! Save your money do not go here. ...read more

The Nail Turbo

Girls- well, guys too nowadays- WARNING. This place is filthy. Owner Kim and husband Michael obviously haven't spent a cent on the place since 1990. From the dirty carpet to the disturbingly gross ceiling... the nail polish chips, her hubby hits on you in the parking lot, all of the workers smoke and take consistent breaks then return in reiking... UGH. Just ick! ...read more

Zena's Day Spa

I have been going to Zena's since I moved to Baltimore in August. I was a little nervous but read online reviews and found Elizabeth and seriously lucked out. She is quick and talks throughout the entire process (I'm in and out in like 10 min!) so you don't even feel uncomfortable. More over, if you ever mention you have a special event coming up, she takes the time to pluck anything extra and even gives you free samples for treatment of ingrown hairs. As a medical student with little if any time to spare, I appreciate how quick she is (really, who wants to drag out a brazilian?) and have never had any problems with sanitation. And I would definitely notice. I have had a wax by someone else at Zena's and wasn't nearly as satisfied so I now make sure to come in on days when Elizabeth is working. Which isn't hard because she works every Tues and Wed (student discount days!) and will even come in on weekends. Finding a good salon was key, and definitely made the move from Boston a lot easier. Elizabeth also keeps me update on cool bars and restaurants to try which is good because aside from coming for waxes I basically live at the library. I would definitely recommend Zena's! ...read more

Zena's Day Spa

I went for a brazilian. Elizabeth was nice and all, but towards the end I noticed she had been using the same wooden stick the entire time, dipping and re-dipping it into the wax. Every spa I've ever gone to has had a strict policy against this because it is incredibly unsanitary and can lead to cross-contamination. Gross!!!\t\nOn my way out I wanted to set up an appointment for a manicure. I waited patiently at the desk (less than 2ft in front of her) as she proceeded to take a phone call, straighten up her calendar, organize her pencils, and then pull out and play with her cell phone all the while IGNORING a customer standing right in front of her. I was so turned off...needless to say I will NOT be returning to this horrible place. ...read more
