For two years, I have tried every restaurant in Truro, P-town, Wellfleet, etc... and I have been systematically under-whelmed and disappointed. Even well-established and consistently-recommended restaurants have left me either unsatisfied, bemused or ragingly upset. That is, until I finally tried 'Babe's Mediterranean Bistro'. Which is, ironically, right down the street from me, but yet I'd been holding out for nearly three years. Stupid me. Unlike most "ethnic" restaurants, the food explodes with flavor without ever being greasy or heavy. I loved a trip to Turkey when I was in my 20's, but I remember the food being drowned in oil. These Turkish flavors are new to me, clean and amazing. I remember 'Muhammarah', but instead of an oily mess, their version is a well-defined, multi-level, palate-challenging amazement.
