I have a 2008 Toyota that I drove from Boston towards Dedham, when I started to hear rumbling behind me. I thought that it might be thunder as it was a very hot day. It continued and I pulled to the side of the road and stopped the engine...no thunder and no noise! I then started the car again and thinking that I could make it to my auto dealer and continued to drive, but that was a very short trip, I didn't know what the problem was..I happened to be outside of an auto repair shop. I had no idea if I should in bring my car here. But I felt that I had no choice and pulled off the road.A mechanic came right over, revved the engine and stated 'muffler'. and he said that he could fix it. I said 'ok' and waited inside the small storefront room. I started getting anxious and moved my seat closer to where I could see my car. He then said. 'all fixed' and said that he had put clamps on the muffler. He charged me $25 dollars for the fix, and I then went to my car. I saw that I had left my money in the center console, as I was going to get gas on the way home!I was very pleasantly surprised that I happened onto this shop to have my car fixed, with no overcharges!!
