Which Version of office should I use?
What version of Office do I need? Most people use outlook, hence you will need the home and business version which includes excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook. Now some people may say they do not need outlook, I'll use another email client, and buy the home version which is cheaper which has no outlook. But other applications that need Outlook will not work right. Additionally, the transfer outlook to a new computer is much easier and much quicker than importing email and addresses using other email clients. Problems with Symantec End Point Security
Symantec End Point Security A customer in Uxbridge MA, who called us that they no longer had access to files on their Windows 2003 Server R2 Edition. Turns out the Symantec Endpoint security was installed, and not properly configured. The network Intrusion feature actually was blocking other systems from accessing the network share. We disabled the intrusion detection and everything started working again. Obviously, this was not the answer to the problem just the quick fix to get people working again. The solution was to create a rule in the firewall section of the intrusion detection portion to allow traffic to the local network. Once that was done the system was fixed. Wind in Woburn
We sold 4 Windterra ECO1200 Wind Turbines to a commercial enterprise in Woburn, MA this past Winter. Since this will be the first wind power installed in Woburn, they had to write new regulations. This of course takes time, but they are very nearly done. With any luck, we will have these up and running in the Fall. ...read more
