Taught me my lesson as far as the "Home Shows" go. My husband is handy and we were looking for a replacement door estimate to just save him a weekend and me a day of clean-up afterwards. If it was even $1000 per door over what we could do ourselves it'd have been worth it. When we first saw the price, we knew it was a no-go, silly for anyone even barely capable with a hammer, but the company's mistake--they didn't even give an estimate until 90 minutes in. This salesman apparently read us wrong and was downright rude when we told him "This will not be a decision made today, leave us a quote and we'll call you." He knew we were patching up a home to put on the market and kept pitching 4 year payment plans. If he was upset we wasted his time(he clearly was) without signing anything then and there, well, he should've given a quote before wasting OUR time with a 90 minute pitch before even producing a number. ...read more

- Since we need new windows anyway, I entered sweepstakes at a local festival back in May. Since then, I've been receiving daily robocalls asking me for further details so they can process the sweepstakes entry (I'm reasonably certain the sweepstakes is over by now!)- This is not a huge inconvenience for me, since I set my phone to just auto-hang-up whenever they call, but if they treat people with this much disrespect *before* they've even gotten your money, I can't imagine they treat you any better once you've already signed a contract with them! ...read more

I went through their slick sales presentation and demonstrations and was still skeptical, especially about their contract installers. In the end, I decided to just buy four windows, at a very high price, after the sales person committed to monitoring the installation to ensure it went smoothly. Installation day arrived and the sales person was nowhere in site. What was in site was my four windows, missing the upper grates that we had ordered. Evidently the sales team has time for a 2 hour sales call but once you sign, cannot take 5 minutes to check the order to make sure it's right. The installation crew was rude, and disinterested in a doing a good job. They were all about speed and rushed to get out of my home as fast as possible. The result was shoddy workmanship and a mess--there were literally nails and sharp scraps of aluminum trim left behind in my living room couch, all over the floor, and outside.
