DO NOT RENT ANY HOUSE OR APARTMENT WITH CHAMBLESS ENTERPRISES! I signed a 6 month lease because I needed a place to move into asap & apartment 10 on Madison Street was available at the time. BEFORE i moved in, the apartment was filthy, walls were dirty,the tub was dirty, there were roaches all throughout the apartment before i ever moved my things in & on top of all these red flags, i had to replace over half of the lightbulbs there. The landlord stated the roaches were there because it had been vacant (yea whatever) i bombed the place 4 times before i moved in & despite all of my requests for maintenance to spray for pest, they only did so ONCE! Yet they received $600/ month. My alarm system was never properly set up & they never gave me a code to operate it. The sink disposal was never working properly but by the time i noticed there was already old food smelling & rotting inside of the drain. The sink would get clogged repeatedly which made water leak from the dishwasher onto the floor. Don’t even get me started on the parking lot! There are 10 apartments & only 12 parking spaces. I can imagine its hard to get everyone to follow rules but after complaining about the parking the landlord stated cars that weren’t attached to anyone’s lease would be towed yet there was nothing done about the parking. There were nights my car was left on the side of the road risking getting hit by ongoing traffic & parking violation tickets. This was my first apartment sad to say but I did not enjoy living there not 1 bit. On top of alllll of this, they refused to issue my deposit back even though I didn’t break my lease, paid $600/monthly, & left the apartment cleaner than before I moved in. the rental properties are poorly conducted & maintained & the staff & landlord are the worst people I’ve ever come accross!
