Being a steak eater, I was none too thrilled about the prospects of spending months at a time in the seafood part of our country. But while spending two months in Houma working on the Gulf oil spill, I happened to visit a Copeland's of New Orleans. Even though I didn't think I would be able to get a great steak in that part of the country, I was wrong. Once a week I treated myself to the best steak in the area. When served by an extremely personable waitress named Brooke, the experience is one no one should miss. To end the dinner, the Bananas Foster, brought to me by the cute as can be Brooke, was to die for.
