Worst of all, the property was INFESTED with bedbugs and Paramount management INSISTED that the residents pay for a pre-existing condition. Disabled and poor residents with barely enough money for food were FORCED TO PAY for the BED BUG INFESTATION already present! STAY AWAY from these people! ...read more

Window of opportunity closing in
First time home buyer tax credit end is near. You have to close on your home purchase by Nov. 30. NOW is the time to act. Normal closings take on average of 30-45 days. So do the math... you should have your contract signed by Oct. 15th. Just to claify a few things, "first time home buyer" is pertainting to anyone who has not owned a principal residence during the three-year period prior to the purchase. If you owned a home before 10/06 but sold it, you would qualify. Income limits are $75,000 for single $150,000 for married for full credit. Incomes above these amounts may still qualify at a adjusted payout. Don't hesitate, with historically low interest rates, market attitiudes, and the up to $8,000 tax credit it is time to take advantage of buying in today's market. Help stimulate the economy and cash in on this opportunity! ...read more

Tax Credit
What's all the buzz about this tax credit? Back in February our congress pasted a stimulus package that included many items that would allow for a tax credit for home improvements. These credits are better than deductions from your income. So that's more money in your pocket, which we all appreciate. However, they do have some criteria that need to be followed and met. For example replacement windows are allowed 30% up to $1,500 of the retail value of the windows as a credit. But it must be met with the government's new requirements for energy efficiency. It must meet a .30 U factor and a .30 SHGC. You should consult your tax accountant and make sure you have all the documentation that is required. For more information on this you can go to: www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=products.pr_tax_credits ...read more
