I recently got my hair cut at Images and was furious when I walked out the door. From the very beginning of my hair cut the stylist was incredibly rude to me regarding the condition of my hair -it was in very bad shape due to coloring. However, that was the reason why I had come to the salon in the first place - to get my hair back to a healthy condition. \t\n\t\nSo after a stern talking to from the stylist, she proceeds to tell me that she's going to use a mask on my hair to make it a little healthier. We do the mask and from there everything goes just fine, she was relatively nice (although may have given me a wee bit too much information about her personal life) and did an okay job at cutting my hair. \t\n\t\nHOWEVER, when I left and it was time to check out the $36 hair cut I had set the appointment for was suddenly a $51 hair cut! When I asked why the receptionist told me that I had been given a $15 ""chem shot"" - apparently the mask she used on my hair added an additional $15 to my bill, however I was never told this nor agreed to the additional service. What makes it worse is I had spent a great part of the time talking to my stylist about my difficulties finding a job - you would think she'd have a little more consideration than to just give me a treatment without first asking for my consent. \t\n\t\nWhat makes it worse is that today I went to Beauty Brands to see how much the Redken mask that she used in my hair costs - $14.50 for a whole bottle of it! \t\n\t\nNeedless to say, I'm furious and will never be going back to images again. ...read more
