Seafood
The food was good, but I couldn’t say much for the atmosphere. This restaurant is in an out of place part of town and looks like it hasn’t been updated since it opened. The wait staff on the other hand was great; not overly attentive, but there when you needed anything.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try after driving by it several times and always seeing the parking lot packed. The moment you enter the restaurant you know you've traveled back 30 or more years as the decor has not been updated. The atmosphere is old and musty. My husband and I ordered the Royal Trio Plater. It is Fillet of Fish Almodine (which was okay but not the best), Baked Sea Scallops (the worst tasting I've ever had. I truly don't know how to discribe the taste. It was dry at the same time as if too much seasoning had been used), Stuffed Shrimp (Again, too much seasoning. I couldn't even eat them or the scallops), Baked Potato and Green Salad which are hard to ruin but the salad was not fresh. This place touts their relish tray which I have to admit was the best part of dining there. But it certainly does not live up to a 'fine' dining establishment as advertised. We won't be going back unless they remodel and update their menu and recipes.

After seeing numerous commercials for this establishment, my husband and I decided to go here. I wasn't impressed at all. I mean, there were water stains on the ceiling! How is that elegant? If they were trying to ad a taste of New Orleans to East Texas, they got it right with the water stains!

To "jackson, ayfield, Longview" and "John Mulberry, Temple" - I am very sorry that you had a disappointing experience at our restaurant. I only wish that you had let us know when you were here so we could have had the opportunity to correct any problem.
Our restaurant has been in business for 60 years, and, occasionally problems can occur - but, if we are not told about a problem at the time it occurs, then we are not given the opportunity to correct the problem for you which we are more than happy to do. I apologize for your unpleasant experience, and would appreciate your giving us another try. Thank You - Cathy Cace
Excellenta'
I don't know why anyone had bad service or cold food, but we have been to JC's several times (February-April '09) & the service has been personal, professional, and the food excellently prepared. As far as the new TV ad, I wouldn't subject my children to the food, much less to the reputation of Burger King! I guess that's what separates the taste buds!!

Johnny Caces is one of our favorite spots. The service is wonderful, you can tell that many people have worked there for years. The food is always excellent, never had a problem with anything. I usually get the Shrimp dinner and my husband gets the royal dinner. Love the coffee, too. Very relaxing restaurant. Not loud and voistrous. Made to feel special each time we come through the door. Just like my Grandparents over 40 years ago.
