I had never been to his clinic before this past Friday nor will I ever be back! I honestly would not even rank it as a 1! The worst experience I have ever had with a vet clinic. We had our Great Dane fixed, when we were dropping her off the "doctor" never once introduced himself when he came into the room, when speaking to him he was rude and acted like he could care less what our questions or concerns were. I walked out of there crying and knew I should have went right back in & got her. But I had heard he was a good & knowledgeable vet so we didn't because we knew she needed to be fixed. When I picked her up the next day I specifically asked the lady at the front desk if I could have pain medication for her due to living an hour away if she would to have needed it, and I was told no he doesn't give pain medication she did not even consult the doctor to even ask. Then I go back to get her she has a sticker on the cage that says do not move & had been laying in her own pee for who knows how long! On Tuesday, we had to take her to the emergency vet because of the way she was acting and spent $300 to be told she needed pain medication & anti-inflammatory and that if she would have had pain medication she would not have been acted the way she did. I called to speak to Dr Bruster to let him know I would never be back nor recommended anyone there and his words were "that's fine I have plenty of business elsewhere". I took a dog to him that was suffering from Ivermectin poisoning. He was being treated by another vet but the money on our care credit card was running out and we needed to find a cheaper way of treating him. The first vet we took our dog to said the chance of him surviving was 100%. Dr. Brester gave our dog Dexamethasome which is not for dogs and not for Ivermectin poisoning and increases the chance of seizures. Then Dr. Brester left and when he came back our dog was dead. We contacted a pet memorial service and they could not pick the dog up until the next day and so Dr. Brester said he couldn't keep the body inside and so he threw the outside like a piece of trash. i had heard of doctor brester over 10 years ago but thought it was too long of a drive. i know better now. i arrived at 9;28 am on a saturday morning and was on my way before noon. the later you arrive the more likely you will have a 3-4 hour wait of course. my cat midnight had a upper respiratory infection. there was no need for lab tests as midnight breathing was labored and he was sneezing mucous out. dr. brester was gentle but firm as he listened to his chest, took his temp , put drops in his ears and gave him 2 shots. as he worked on my cat, i asked him if he removed growths off of my 9 yr old rottweiler's elbow much like a skin tag. his answer was he can, but he doesn't like to because the larger and older the animal the more likely you can have problems with the anesthesia. to me that shows more caring than not. he is willing to not take someones money for superficial surgery , then charge an outrageous fee. our visit today was 38.00 (just the price of the meds) after reading some negative reviews i was initially hesitant about even using his services, but his office was immaculate not new or fancy smancy though...his staff was friendly and professional. i noticed his fingernails appeared discolored but that didn't mean they were dirty per se...i worked construction for yeas and my hands are very rough. as a result after i have worked with substances that have color in them such as stain, tools,oil etc my hands hold on to the colorant unless i either bleach them. it may take 2-3 baths before the stains fade...so he may use tools and substances on farm animals the average person isn't aware of that cause his hands to appear "dirty" to someone who has lived a life of not getting their hands dirty...just my two cents because i saw his hands today and they looked stained not dirty...i will gladly drive from indy and wait 2-3 hours for his wonderful care. also many negative reviews are anonymous so what does that say....and not everyone using his services was white, i was black,mexican and chinese there in the 3 hours i waited and everyone was treated equal...god bless you bean blossom animal clinic and all your employees ...read more

I took my 4 month old lab because her front leg was broken. I waited almost 5 hours with my lab and my 3 small children only to be told that it was her elbow, a few shots later and some antibiotics we were sent on our way. The next day my puppy was still howling in pain. I went to another vet who took X-rays and confirmed that BOTH LEG BONES WERE BROKEN. My poor puppy spent 24 hours in pain with a broken leg because the vet wouldn't check her out well enough. ...read more

We took our one to two year old dog to the clinic and waited several hours waiting on her to get in all the while thinking she would die before we were called. A woman outside said it looked like our puppy had parvo. Once we got inside, the doctor (the older one) looked at her and prescribed vitamins. Later we had to see a local vet because she was so lethargic and he said she had parvo. Took $400 to save her but we are now so happy two or three years later. Regardless, I will be posting negative reviews in as many places as possible. I called your Lodge to ask your location. My husband and I were looking to stay in Brown County this October sometime. I had been attracted to your website. I was planning to make reservations after finding out the location, but the I was hung up on FIVE or more times, and then was told that if I didn't have a reservation already, the receptionist did not need to talk to me. Every dog I have ever had I have taken to Dr. Brewster-- and that includes a pregnant St Bernard, a tumor removal, puppies, shots, a dog that was thrown from a moving vehicle, a St Bernard with allergies, a St Bernard with hip dysplasia, and a spay. Everything has been reasonably priced, and when our money was tight, he made things right by us. Also, even for simple rabies shots, he will look the animal in the eye and apologize. I have waited as long as five hours, but every time it has been worth the wait--and the drive (40 min)-- and if it is a serious situation, he will make sure that the animal is treated as soon as humanly possible. Besides, you will not be bored while waiting, as there is always a large number of fellow animal lovers to visit with. Also, Dr. Brewster has been nothing but kind to me and my family, and his prices are nothing but fair. And even my poor Saint that we rescued who was horrified of men loved him.
