This is the second time in our history with this company that a family member needed knee surgery and signed for a constant-motion device, both times the rep from the company had us sign after sedation medication was given . We were warned by several people that this was their practice, and sure enough it happened. The machines are invaluable in post-op care, but they prey on your inability to read the contract and do not inform you that the "softgoods" (fleece) is "unreturnable" and will not be covered by your insurance company in most cases, even if the machine itself is covered. Plan to pay an additional $110 no matter what, with a $5/month if you don't pay. If they told you that up front, fine, but they will tell you that they've checked your insurance and that "you're covered"...then you'll get hit with the bill. I asked the manager if she'd ever thought of sending her rep to the pre-op visit (duh), she said they wouldn't make enough money. That's what they're all about! ...read more
