The spa service was THE WORST! I went for a brazilian wax and clearly the lady had not been trained. So many things went wrong... 1. Half way through the brazilian wax i knew something felt different... I looked and the lady doing the wax didn't have on gloves...YUCK! When I told her to put them on she only wanted to put on one glove.. smh 2. The technique that was used on me was what you use when waxing eyebrows. This was my third time being waxed so I wasn't fully confident in my knowledge of the procedures, but when checking with other friends and TRAINED waxers, I was informed that this was NOT the correct method of waxing. I was in pain and was on the table for an hour. After an hour I insisted that the lady stop with the waxing. I cried and felt extremely violated (no gloves). This was the WORST experience I have ever had at any salon/spa. Maybe they do good nails at MISS NAILS, but the spa services, specifically waxing is HORRIBLE. I got a full set of gel nails done and they look horrible! \t\n\t\nThe lady I guess is one of the owners and I don't think she even knows what she's doing... She never cleaned off my nails meaning trimming the cuticles or and dead skin or even trim my nails to the same length... Then she quickly put the tips on as she cut the tips she never cut them evenly or even filed them right... Then when she put the gel on she wasn't doing it evenly and when she finished them they are all uneven and beyond thick... If I could post pics I would... I have been going to Nail Lab since before the moved to the new location on Cicero. I have always had amazing service. They have very reasonable prices and there is always enough staffing to keep the wait short even when it is busy. The facilities is always pristine! The staff is always polite and respectful! I have used many of their services: different waxings, manicure regular and full set, and pedicure. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good quality experience. ...read more
