Received a call about 1:20 in the morning. Young-sounding woman said she made a mistake and was trying to call the police. Calm voice, no surprise at getting a wrong number. Interesting, the number she called is located in another state and area code and unlisted. Reverse look-up points to Northbrook, IL, lat 42.1200/long -87.8300, unlisted landline from Teleport Communications, phone look-up map shows Shermer Road between Brentwood and Stanley. Landline number unlisted. Houses on left (west, if Shermer is N/S street); apartments(?) on right. Not far from the local high school (south?), either. My daughters phone (& ipod) was stolen from Streamwood High school last month. After researching the numbers called by the theif, reverse lookup kept comming up with this company and address. Only Hispanic music plays when the number is called...never picks up. I'm turning all the info into the local police department for further research. Charged up a $650 bill with Sprint downloading ringtones and games. Sprint has to eat it since they didn't disable the phone. Trying to get someone to track the thief/s ...read more
