I leased an Avaya phone system through Converged Communication Systems. They wanted an outrageous amount of money per month for a maintenance contract. I felt that it was grossly overpriced and that it was not a good deal. The phone system did not live up to the hype that Converged presented to me. And to make matters worse since I did not pay for the maintenance contract they treat me poorly. The phone system has a factory warranty that is at least one year. But Avaya will not warranty a defective phone to me directly. They say I must go through Converged to get it covered. And Converged wants $160.00 per hour to replace the phone. They are telling me it is billable for 1-2 hours. This is the worst customer service imaginable. I have to pay $160.00-$320.00 te replace a phone that is still covered under Avaya's warranty.
