Mike, your service plumber stopped by because the route driver told him I had a leak on my line in my cellar. Mike checked it out and asked when I had the new work done that was obvious compared to the rest of the plumbing. I insisted that Eco Water did the repair . Mike told me it wasn't Eco Water, I must have hired a plumber. I still insisted it was Eco Water that did the work when suddenly I realized, it was a plumber that had done the work. I appoligized to Mike for being so insistent. He brushed it off as no big deal and cheerfully proceeded to correct the leak right then and there! It did involve some work, but Mike was quick and efficient. He also took the opportunity to inform me Eco Water carries pool chemicals which I was unaware of. Bain&Company; conducted extensive research across industries in order to see what custom metric was most correlated with growth. They looked at customer satisfaction and found no correlation. They tested a bunch of other questions: "Does this company set the standard for excellence?", "Does this company deserve my loyalty?", etc. The one which had the strongest correlation to growth was "Would you recommend this company to a friend?" Bain used a scale from 0 (extremely unlikely to recommend) to 10 (extremely likely to recommend), then grouped the responses into two categories: 0 to 6 and 7 to 10. He then took the difference between the low and the high group and used this net to rate a company.The average company in North America has scores of 11% (for example, it could be that 20% rated them a 9 or 10 and 9% rated them between 0 and 6). The 75% percentile had net scores of 35%. Leading brands like Northwestern Mutual and State Farm had scores of 20% and 39% respectively.
