I was recently privileged to attend the sumptuous and elegant Mandarin Ball in Honolulu, Hawaii. A lavish, annual fundraising gala held by the Hawaii Chinese Civic Association, it was a night to remember. But, above the fine dinner, beautiful dance performances, gorgeous Chinese beauty queens and clothing... but, believe it or not, my most memorable moment was the absolutely heavenly hand crafted, CHOCOLATE covered fortune cookie masterpiece that welcomed me on arrival. This mouthwatering treat, donated by family-owned Elvira Chocolat and Hawaii Monarch Chocolates, stole the night! I went in as I would any Jamba Juice. I ordered the large size cup of my favorite mixture and watched as this girl made what seemed like a lot of juice for my cup. \t\nUpon completing, she poured the juice into my cup and it looked like there was a lot (a lot) left over and instead of using it as a free sample in small cups (or maybe given it to me in a smaller cup) it was just poured down the sink.
