I am a designer that recently hired Around the Town to pick up several items, deliver them, and assemble a few pieces. At NO fault of their own, the manufacturer of one of the pieces did not ship bolts or screws to put together the item. These guys went out and found bolts and screws to complete the assembly. The costs for raw materials, such as: Chassis and Bodies, must be factored into the equation to determine the final price. Second, the cost of labor. On some projects , the TIME and effort required to complete a QUALITY Car or Truck Varies greatly according to the overall design. It may take several days or even a WEEK to complete just ONE. Then, there is also the cost of marketing and advertising. The cost of transportation and shipping all add up. It is well known that any business must make a profit to survive or else it goes out of business quick. 2. How soon after I place an order can I expect my product(s) to arrive? This depends on several factors. But, normally products are assembled and shipped within 1 to 2 weeks depending on several factors. Most IN STOCK merchandise is shipped the same day via regular mail. Your track may become dirty, which also needs to be cleaned on a regular basis. If YOU break it, then simply return it and we will ATTEMPT to fix it. However, there may be a nominal repair charge, depending on how badly YOU damaged it. If it is determined that a manufacturing defect is at fault, simply return it within 3 days of purchase and it will be repaired and returned. What if it is not what I expect it to be or how I expect it to perform? Our Custom Built Slot Cars do perform well in most conditions and under most circumstances. Do you offer price discounts for purchasing more than one porduct or several products? YES! We offer price discounts to customers, which depends on the quantity of products purchased. 9. How much money do you need up front on "Custom Special Orders?" This depends on whether it is a local pick-up project or a project which has to be shipped. For local pick-up, we require 50% down and the balance, when the project is delivered. For, all other projects, we require the product to paid in full and will be shipped out immediately after completion.
