Chris seems to be a nice guy and to be honest I liked him, That makes this all the more upsetting. Chris Hall did some minor remodeling at one of our rental properties and things went well we were pleased with his work. Then we hired him to refinish the floors at our newly purchased home prior to move in. Instead of refinishing the floors he RUINED about 1000' sq of very expensive hardwood. We had paid him $2400 in 2 installments as the job progressed. We never paid more as the floors are now destroyed. As I wanted to give Chris the benefit of the doubt and we all make mistakes we worked out a repayment schedule, Unfortunately since Chris has followed through on any repayment plan despite my efforts and reminders. At this point he has left me no option but to sue him. Thanks to Chris I am living in my new house with ruined floors that need to be replaced. I am out $2400 and he refuses to make good on the monies owed and I am left to pursue legal action. To get the floors fixed, if they can even be fixed, will be a huge additional expense that will include me emptying a full story of my house and vacating for several days. Learn from my mistake, as nice as he seems, DO NOT HIRE CHRIS TO DO WORK AT YOUR HOUSE. YOU WILL END UP OUT OF MONEY, DISSATISFIED, AND POSSIBLY HAVING TO SUE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT.
