took my bike in to have warranty work done, according to the service tech. I spoke with the warranty I paid nearly 800$ for is useless because everything is considered a wear item. after I was told none of the things were going to be warranted I asked for a price because the work has to be done regardless. the price was outrageous for only one of the four things I needed done. I told the service tech to get the service manager to find out if anything can be warranted, if not ill go somewhere else. never figured out if it would be or not, found a local shop that can do all the work I needed for less than the one item I was quoted at extreme. when I told the service tech I was going to pick up my bike due to them being way overpriced and not giving me my warranty that I paid for ,he gave me an attitude and proceeded to tell me how the other shops quality isn`t as good and so on. The way I see it is extreme power sports knows they have the Columbus/Phenix City/Fort Benning area locked down because they are the biggest shop close by, so word of mouth isn`t really an issue for them. They know if you live in these areas and want a bike either your going to buy one private party or go to extreme power sports, once you leave the lot they could care less if you come back or not or even if you recommend them to a friend. On another note the other shop I took my bike to is a small shop with little publicity, they mainly go by repeat customers and word of mouth. I have heard nothing but great reviews about them so for a "big company" like this to trash talk a smaller one tells me they feel threatened. I`m not giving the name of the other company as this isn`t a bash on one to go to the other, but if you need work done on your bike do your homework and you`ll find the place has great reviews, prices, attitude, and overall know how . ...read more

Simply Self Storage and Penske Truck Rentals

I was quoted a yearly rate for my storage units, which I paid in full at the time I moved in. I compared their quote to several places in the area. Moved in and paid in full for the year on 8/06/2009. Left with a receipt saying I was paid until 8/31/2010. Today they call saying I'm late in paying 5/5/2010. I showed them the receipt, thinking they had some error. (maybe wrong customer). But NO, they decided my yearly rate was too low and changed it in their computer without telling me to 8 months. So the quote they gave me for a year was just a lie to get my business. This is unethical, and I can't believe they looked me in the face and said "yeah, I see your receipt but we rolled back some months." ...read more
