We own a 70 pound lab, so I know first hand how quickly dog hair can get out of control if the floors aren't attended to regularly. Even though I'm pretty good about maintaining my home, I wanted to hire a cleaning company to come in and do a thorough cleaning every other week so I called Home Sweet Home and scheduled a cleaning. Two weeks ago, three women arrived to do what they called a "deep cleaning." They were in and out in under an hour and a half. They vacuumed, mopped, and basically wiped things down, but it could never be described as a deep cleaning. Realizing that I tend to be very particular about my house, I decided I'd cut them some slack and give them a second shot. Today, two girls showed up. Once again, they were in an out in under an hour and a half; -if you're doing the math, we pretty much paid $70 an hour for what could only be described as the worst job ever! For that amount of money, my house should sparkle, but it doesn't. There are dog hair dust-bunnies sitting proudly on the staircase, and the dog hair that had collected along the baseboards is still there. Neither the dining room table or the furniture in the master bedroom was dusted. My husband ran his hand across the dresser then touched his pants just to show me that it had been ignored. Prior to the cleaning, there were a couple of small food particles stuck to the granite counter tops in the kitchen, --you guessed it, they're still there. None of the small appliances that sit on the counters have been wiped down or cleaned. The trash cans had been emptied, but new bags were never put back into the cans even though I provided them with bags when they arrived. If that's not enough, there's a rolled up bath mat sitting inside my bathroom sink. My husband spoke to the owner but all he heard was a bunch of excuses.
