Boyd's Transmissions

Boyd's Transmission likes to find bad reviews and cover them up by leaving their own good reviews. Customer service is garbage, service is terrible, they are extremely slow, and they are liars. I did not write the first bad review but after dealing with this I had to write my own. Find somewhere else to go and don't believe the obviously fake five star reviews. ...read more

Dixie Dans Auto Repair

These guys shouldn't be trusted. They fail to take responsibility for botched repairs. In my case after we spent over $1,500 fixing an oil leak and replacing the timing belt/water pump. We repeatedly asked them to give the car a once over. It is a new used purchase and we were needing to decide how much to invest in the car for repairs. They failed to give the car a proper once over and told us that the car was decent and just needed a replacement of cam seals, timing belt and water pump. $1,300 dollars later the car was still leaking oil! The repairs did nothing to fix the problem, which was the oil leak. I presume they made an assumption of where the oil was coming from and that they did not check the variable valve timing...which is where the car was leaking oil. It ended up costing us another $1k to fix the repairs because of their, I presume, negligence. On top of replacing the variable valve timing we had to replace the timing belt again because it was covered in oil, which cause the belt to breakdown. Just to be safe we replaced all of the seals they said they replaced. My experience with them is not unique. I know of one other person who ended up with a dead car after Dixie Dan's replaced this persons timing belt. The belt busted. And, like usual, they failed to take responsibility. Over the phone in discussion about the situation with one of the Dan's he said something like "you can't blame the doctor if they don't catch what's wrong." But, you can. ...read more

I payed to have it towed and he didn't honor his warranty so I had to pay his twice for the same service within 3 months. Do not go here ...read more

Norwich Street Promoting

Our largest challenge is the closing of businesses on Norwich Street, empty stores do not give customers reason to use our street while out shopping or even reason to stop when passing by. Brunswick being a tourist town we would like to see Norwich Street attracting some of that business. Brighten up with lights and color, make our street say "Welcome please come down our street." Right now the turn off on Gloucester is two empty parking lots that DO NOT look inviting and the overpass coming onto Norwich Street from Highway 341 well what can I say. I would like to see hobbies shops, candy stores, bakeries, art studios, a little Mexican village, and the corner of Norwich and L Street fancied up as the Automotive Corner of Brunswick. Our Norwich Flea Market needs a parking lot and more vendor's. Our Seafood Restaurants need the same reputation of Buccaneer and Pelican Point so Let's talk about Promoting Norwich Street. Then let's do something about it. ...read more
